Busy bee

Goodness... I didn't mean to leave it this long since my last post. I get so busy, and forget to blog. I have bought some lovely books lately and they have been keeping me really busy.
This is Woodland Knits by Stephanie Dosen, I have admired her work for a few years now but was never confident enough to make anything but this book is so beautiful I had to get it and try a few things. Actually the patterns are really simple and I regret not doing any sooner. I especially love her Hexy puff pattern which isn't in this book but I have now bought the pattern from Ravelry. It's so beautiful but it's a long term project.
Here is a sneak peek at the book for those of you who haven't seen the book.

Can't rotate this picture it's actually driving me mad it's the only one I can't change, grrrrr

I have made this but I have put my antlers on yet, or taken any photos.

How gorgeous is this scarf a foxy teddy bear cuddling you all day.

Amazing wings, I think of lots of little girls' who would love these.

I am planning these next

And this is my first project from the book the Dragon Watcher's hood, I have an elf hat!! I love it and it's my first raw fleece to finished object project which makes me really happy. All my hard work and I have something to show for it.

Its a really beautiful book printed on lovely paper and the photos are so atmospheric and the pages so beautifully decorated, I can't recommend it highly enough. I want to make everything... if only I had all the time in the world to knit...

My next book is Crochet at play by Kat Goldin, but you will have to wait until next time.

Happy week to you all,
Sarah

Your elf hat is gorgeous, how wonderful that you processed the wool yourself and then knitted with it, I have yet to do that with my fleece it's still languishing in the garage.......

What a wonderful looking book. I know it doesn't make any difference, but if a book has nice paper, cover, end pages, that sort of thing, I do think I appreciate it more. x
