So here it is my properly finished patchwork blanket......
Beautiful purple flower binding handmade by Blondes Backyard on folksy made from a vintage sheet. Just lucky it matched perfectly and with my new found knowledge was a breeze to attach.
A lovely mixture of colours and textures the worn and washed fabrics are so soft.
The binding did take quite a while as I hand sewed one side and machined the other.
As you can see it has furry approval too.
''How dare you disturb me taking pictures for your silly blog I am trying to sleep!''
Have a lovely craft filled week,
Sarah

Beautiful! Your quilt looks so soft and delicious, and I really love that binding. It's lovely to finish a quilt, a real achievement.

I didn't block my squares first as they seemed to hold their shape. I would try perhaps putting a few together first before blocking as you may find that just by putting them together pulls them into a shape. Trying that first might save you a bit of time if it works!!! x
Gorgeous quilt by the way......wish I had the patience for that!
I found your blog via a comment you left on my Rose Valley blog, 'squiggling about' just caught my eye. I read your description and thought wow that sounds like my life, i looked at your blog and thought it is fabulous so i will add you to my blog list from now. Take care x
