At the beginning of February I volunteered to test for Lisa at Biglittle again. This time it was the pixie hood pattern, Lisa wanted to perfect the pattern and introduce it in bigger sizes and adult's too. I have made this coat before when little Miss was about 19 months, I used a red wool and embroidered the bottom with bees and flowers. It was our favourite coat.

This time i tried the size 8 for my niece. She is such a poser she loved showing off the coat.

I loved making it and used some of my favourite buttons from Mossy roots, I bought the wool mix fabric locally. I tried my best to line up the plaid around the seams and I think it wasn't too bad.

Lisa is currently selling the pattern for a discounted price the children's size goes up to age 14 and adults sizes 6-18. It features layered pattern pieces so you only print the size you want. You can make it with a collar, pixie hood or rounded hood. The tutorial has been rewritten and includes more details like pockets and you can download the rounded hood for free from the Big Little facebook page.
